Extraditions from the UK to Australia are governed by Part 2 of the Extradition Act 2003. Australia is designated a Part 2 territory for the purposes of the Extradition Act 2003.

Australia is a party to The London Scheme for Extradition within the Commonwealth. Article 5(4) is disapplied in relation to Australia meaning that Australia is not required to provide prima facie evidence in support of an extradition request
