Council of Europe

Extraditions from the United Kingdom to Council of Europe countries that are not part of the European Union are governed by Part 2 of the Extradition Act 2003 which enacts the European Convention on Extradition. These countries are designated as Category 2 territories for the purposes of the Extradition Act 2003 and are not required to provide prima facie evidence in support of an extradition request.

The European Convention on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters governs mutual legal assistance in criminal matters between Council of Europe countries that are not part of the European Union.
